Jarrod Watt

Principal Physiotherapist/Director

Jarrod Graduated from Otago University in 1997 and has worked in Southland for his entire career. Jarrod has been involved in Southland rugby with development squads and was the physiotherapist for the Southland Stags in 2006.
Special interest areas of Physiotherapy include vocational rehabilitation, occupational health, serious injury rehabilitation, orthopaedics, and pain management.
Interests outside of work include his Hunting and Trap shooting
Qualifications and Memberships:
BPhty (Otago) 1997, PGC in Applied Practice in Health(Vocational Rehabilitation) 2017

Virginia Miller

Physiotherapist

Virginia worked at Southland Hospital for 2 years after graduating then transferred to Gore and worked at Seddon Memorial Hospital for 10 years. After a break to start a family, Virginia started working at Gore Physiotherapy Centre in 2006.
Special interest areas of Physiotherapy include:
Sports injuries, work injuries, back care, pain management, vocational rehabilitation and joint replacement rehabilitation.
Interests outside of work include: lifestyle farming, assisting with calf rearing, gardening, walking and family activities with her grandchildren.
Qualifications and memberships:
Diploma Physiotherapy 1983 with Distinction (Otago), member of Physiotherapy New Zealand since 1984.

Niamh McHutchon

Physiotherapist

Niamh graduated from university of Otago with a bachelor of physiotherapy degree with distinction in 2015.

Niamh grew up on a farm and is a born and bred southlander.

Niamh is passionate about sports competing in a variety of sports growing up, of which she continues to play netball. While studying at university she was a sports medic for a rugby team.

Niamh is currently working part time with the other part of her week spent with her young family.

Kjersti Walker

Physiotherapist

Kjersti graduated from the University of Otago in 2008. Kjersti has been a member of the Gore Physiotherapy team since 2013. Prior to this she has worked in hospitals in Otago, Southland and Australia.
Special Areas of Interest: Sports rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and orthopaedics. Kjersti works out of the Tapanui Clinic.
Outside of work she can be found on their sheep and beef farm and getting involved within the West Otago community.
Qualifications and Memberships: BPhty (Otago) 2008, member of Physiotherapy New Zealand.

Hannah Barclay

Physiotherapist

Hannah is the newest member off the team having graduated From Otago University in 2023 with all the latest and greatest knowledge and full of enthusiasm. She enjoys the variety in conditions seen at our rural clinic and is always keen to tackle a new challenge. She has had hospital, rest home and sports medic experience across the country in Marlborough, Otago and Southland.
Outside of physiotherapy Hannah enjoys tramping, hunting, running and cooking.

Katie McKenzie

Occupational Physiotherapist

Katie is a an experienced Occupation Therapist who assist the Gore Physio team with Vocational Rehabilitation and Training for Independent Living Programs.

Qualifications
• BSc (Occupational Therapy) at Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh in 2003
• PGC in Applied Practice in Health (Vocational Rehabilitation) 2017
